Created in response to the social isolation exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic, this video work reimagines the body as a liquid, adaptive force. The narrative follows a protagonist who discovers happiness in mutation, celebrating the transformation from a rigid, constrained form into an amorphous, flowing existence. Through a blend of autobiographical and fictional elements, the piece chronicles the daily challenges of this new form — navigating rain, drinking, dripping, and slipping — as metaphors for emotional fluidity. The accompanying soundscape, a distorted and muffled field recording, immerses the viewer in an underwater sensation. The piece illustrates that embracing change and dissolving rigid boundaries is a vital strategy for survival and connection in times of isolation.
